How to Get to the Festival Getting to the Festival is fairly straightforward. We are located on the corner of Robert E. Lee Boulevard and St. Bernard Avenue, near City Park. If you are coming from I-610 westbound, exit at Elysian Fields, heading right (north), then take a left (west) on Robert E. Lee Boulevard and left on St. Bernard Avenue the Cathedral entrance will be on the right. If you are coming from the I-610 eastbound, exit at St. Bernard Avenue, heading north (left), until you see the Cathedral on the left at the intersection of Robert E. Lee Boulevard. Please click on the driving directions map or call the Cathedral office at 504-282-0259 with any questions.
Free Off-Site Parking with Shuttle Every year the festival gets bigger and bigger, so parking within a reasonable distance can almost be labeled its own Greek Festival event. For the Olympic Run/Walk 5K runners, this may not be such a big deal, but the rest of us would like to get there before it closes! Our solution is to use Shuttle Vans to transport people to and from their automobiles along a predetermined route. Anywhere you see the Greek Festival Shuttle Route sign (see picture at left), you can be sure that in a little while a Shuttle will pass on the lookout for Festival goers. The Shuttle will be marked with Greek Festival logos and flashing lights for easy identification. In addition, John F. Kennedy High School (on Wisner Boulevard next to Bayou St. John) offers free parking with shuttle service to and from the Festival.
