About Bobby
Haralabos "Bobby" Tzavellas is a native New Orleanian and member of the Greek Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral. As a first generation Greek-American living in New Orleans, Bobby is uniquely positioned to draw on these two rich and distinct cultures for inspiration.

"From their strong family ties to their love of life, food, and music, I find that Greeks and New Orleanians have many shared characteristics. I sought to mesh those commonalities in this year's festival painting."

By trade, Bobby is an engineer for an international energy company. His professional interests lie in the development of unconventional and renewable energy sources, as well as the capture and storage of green house gas emissions. However, the arts have served to counterbalance his technical pursuits.

"Art has always played a major role in my life. The ancient Greeks extolled the virtues of being a well-rounded individual. I take a similar view when approaching life."

A graduate of Villanova University and Tulane University, Bobby holds degrees in Economics, Art and Art History, and Mechanical Engineering. He lives and works in New Orleans, Louisiana.
